It took a lot of effort to keep my face from going entirely slack in amazement. I could barely think, let alone look straight at him.
Thick, well-manicured muscles rippled along his arms, as his perfectly chiseled breast gleamed in the afternoon sunlight. The heavy in-and-out movement of his lungs pushing him toward me, then pulling away, ever so slightly... ever so tantalizingly. I watched is silence and awe as he stretched his perfect arms toward the sun and then toward either horizon.
One tiny thing, one flaw, caught my attention most... just under his left nipple, stretching away, back and around out of sight around away from the chest, was a long, thin scar. And just below that was another, much shorter, just about three, four inches... These imperfections made him so much more attractive in my eyes, though I had no clue exactly how or why. It was lost on me, the full extent of this man's power over my subconscious, my body. And strangely enough, I found myself wanting it.
I shook my head, smacking my forehead in frustration. "Dumb! Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb!" I berated myself. "Stupid, stupid..."
"What's wrong? You forget something?" He turned to look at me, and I realized that my entire train of thought had taken less than a few seconds. He was now staring at me with a concerned expression.
"Uh..." I thought desperately of a way to distract myself. "Yeah, I did! I left the bag of CDs in the car!" I turned around and ran. Straight into a big metal door. "Ow..."
"Uh, really? 'Cause it looks like you just dropped it. you okay, Tox?" He came over and put a large warm hand on my shoulder.
Another jolt of electricity ran through my body from his hand as if I was grounding a static charge. Only there was no pain, only energy and this strange feeling of being truly alive.

-Cal-
Something looks wrong. He's going all slack-jawed, and running away, making excuses that don't work and hitting himself in the head. I think something's going on.
"Come on, let's get you sitting down, you'll feel better." I tried to help him up, but as I reached to stabilize his torso, I felt his heartbeat. It seemed to be going a mile a minute. "Are you having a heart attack?"
"No, no, I'm not. Sorry, just a little dizzy. A seat would be nice, sure." He bit his lip and tried to look anywhere but at me.
"Are you positive?"
"Very." he nodded, looking pointedly back to my face. "Very sure."
"Alright, then. Do you need to sit here a while, or an you help out with moving things inside yet?" I was worried, all right. Why wasn't a big question, usually. I like people, I'm a friendly person. It's how I am. So why was 'why' a nagging thought just then?
"Uh, I'm alright." He stood. "Just gimme a sec, I'll be fine, really!" His cheeks seemed to get bright, but he tripped over a loose shoe, and went sprawling. "Oww!"
"Tox!" I knelt next to him, wondering what to do.
Suddenly, he popped right up and stood, straight at attention. "My phone. Can I run out back a bit and answer this?" He pulled out a highly fancy-looking piece of equipment and held it up. All that was said on the display was 'boss'.
"Uh, sure?"
"Thanks." He ran down the front stairs and disappeared around the corner of the building.
So much confusion just now. What was that?

"Toxicity." I spoke quietly into the phone.
"Good. Where are you?"
"I'm in town, why?"
"You left without authorization. This is the third time this week, 842! And it's Tuesday. What the hell you doing in town?"
"I'm taking a break, it's normal, isn't it?" I sighed. Sometimes the boss didn't know what it was like to be human. All he ever did was reprimand.
"YOU ONLY TAKE BREAKS WHEN TOLD, YOU DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION, AND YOU DON'T, GO RUNNING AROUND TOWN WHEN NO ONE KNOWS YOU'RE GONE! The things found your room empty on assignment to find you for me. I have a job for you, so you better be here by seven!"
"Can I have 'till ten, please? I'm a little tangled up, at the moment..." I glanced to the corner, and thought about the other man, just around the edge of the house... "Uhh, I'm a little busy. Ten, please?"
He thought about it. "Eight."
"Nine,"
"Fine. Be back by nine. If you're not you'll get penalized. I've arranged for a car to get you behind the Mason street hotel. You're to be there at eight-forty-five on the dot and he'll drive you back here."
"Uh, boss?"
"What is it?"
"Can I get back on my own? I'm fine, sir."
I heard another long pause, and a few quiet beeps. I heard muffled speech and then he came back. "Fine, come back on your own. Just don't make any mistakes in getting here. I expect you in this chair in front of me at nine sharp." the phone cut off, abruptly.
"Thank you sir, 'You're welcome, Toxicity,' See you later, boss." I mocked.
Quietly, I made my way around the corner. Glancing at the display on my phone again, I was informed that it was almost six o'clock. Three hours more to spend with my new friend.
I noticed immediately that he'd put a new shirt on.
"Hey, sorry about that!" I called walking around and smiling at Calvin. "Did I miss anything?"
"No, not really. Why, you wanna help out?"
"Well, yeah!" I grinned at him. "Of course!"
